GRETCHEN!! It's so nice to hear from you. Hope you are well and
happy. And, Wow, on the grades and a wonderfully successful
semester. And, I just want to say to the Seniors that we all
thank them for all of their Active years of service to our
chapter, officers or not, we all know that it takes everyone's
care and committment to make it all work. We, as alums hope
that the friendships you have made and the accomplishments that
you tackled, at Simpson and in the Pi Phi house will reward you
with memories that will last a lifetime as well as opportunities in your futures. Two pieces of advice: Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and one is gold. And, always go to your reunions, you will be amazed at the changes in your friends and in you. Your discoveries are just beginning.
Love to all, |

| 06-13-07:A message from the
Simpson College Alumni Office: On Monday Coreen Witke, our Director of Alumni Relations, announced she was resigning her position as of July 6th to spend more time with her family. Coreen has played an important role at Simpson for the past five years and has been an active alumnae since graduating from Simpson in 1991. Coreen’s departure will leave a void in the alumni office that will be hard to fill. Her commitment to the College and her colleagues will be missed but she hopes to remain involved with the College as an active volunteer. Coreen hopes to find a part-time job in the Urbandale area which will allow her the flexibility to spend more time with her husband, Todd, and her two young boys, Jared and Evan. Please join me in wishing Coreen well in her future endeavors. |
| 06-07:We Pi Phis have been so proud
and pleased with Coreen at the helm of Alumni Relations. We all
wish Coreen the best. We know that she has given her best here
at Simpson College! Thank you, Coreen. ~ Indianola Alumnae Club |
| 06-13-07: Congrats to Kelsey
and Jess!! We are all proud to call you sisters! Claudia '77 |
| 07-02-07:Congrats to the chapter
on being recognized as a "Beta" chapter for the 2006 calendar
year! All of the hard work and dedication to the Fraternity and
especially each other paid off in the final rankings which
were announced at Convention. In addition to your fantastic
overall recognition you were named a Top 10 Scholarship award
winner and received the #1 GPA on Campus award listing! CONGRATS!!!! PPL & Mine, Shelly Stork '99 |
| 07-06-07: t was fun to
see several of you at the Pi Phi Luncheon during Alumni Weekend!
The local alumnae especially enjoy having you return to visit the
active chapter! It was wonderful to have so many of you return
for your class reunion and spend the weekend in the 'house'! (especially
exciting when the tornado siren blew and the electricity went
off!!) Please know that we welcome your return to spend a
weekend at the chapter house; Just let us know when!! House Corporation is trying to get some rooms painted and maintenance done to prepare for the girls return in August. The sprinkler project is nearing completion...and altho not so pretty, it is nice to have this security at the house. The painters are painting pipes wherever feasible to try to make things look a little 'prettier'! Come visit 406 North Buxton! Ardene Kildal Downing |
